Serena Caldeira

Studio Manager
Hi! I’m a Sacramento native, a lover of every dog that ever existed, and (thanks to meeting Wes) have become an amateur photographer of pets and backyard birds. I work from home as an IT Applications Manager and have experience in Project Management and Event Planning. I enjoy gardening, true crime, hiking, and joining creative forces with Wes to capture the next intriguing shot.

Get to know Wes Young

Hi, I’m Wes young, welcome to Cinematic Boudoir, thanks for checking us out!
I wanted to introduce myself and tell you a bit about who I am, and what brought me to shooting boudoir.

I’ve been crazy about cinema and photography my entire life. I started shooting my own versions of my favorite movies with my friends in my front yard when I was about 10, and bought my first Nikon camera as soon as I could afford one. Created a dark room in my garage. I’ve spent about the last 20 years making movies and shooting photos.

Photographer Introduction Video

I started thinking about specializing in boudoir a few years ago, when a friend of mine shared an experience she had taking boudoir photos to celebrate a milestone in her life. She said the experience was so amazing it made her feel way more empowered than she could have imagined. Not just sexy, but like a badass.
This made me think of some fantastic portrayals of badass women in films that inspired me.  Actors like Linda Hamilton in Terminator, to Uma Thurman in Kill Bill, Charlize Theron in Mad Max & Atomic Blonde, or Viola Davis in Woman King. All bad asses! Not just for their strength, but their vulnerability.
Boudoir is a very personal expression that draws on emotion, underpinned by self love. Movies are an exaggeration, or heightened reality, of real people, and real people are beautiful. Using photography with the cinematic flare of movies, I strive to create images that reflect that, that create a positive experience, this is why I am excited about this work.

I hope we have a chance to work together.
And prove you are a badass
